LGBTI Rights in Uganda
In Uganda homosexuality is highly stigmatized both by society and by the law. Political strumentalization of homofobic feelings have established a common and accepted sexual discrimination and have encouraged violence and abuse over people suspected of being homosexuals. National media houses contribute to the violation of human rights of LGBTI people by publicly exposing photos and private information. This endangers the life and physical safety of LGBTI people. Threatens and violence are an everyday issue.
