In Milan, two every three riders are of migrant origin, many of which get to the city everyday from the nearby provinces. "Pendolari della Gig Economy" (Gig Economy commuters) tells the story of some of them, hired by intermediaries active on the food-delivery platform Uber Eats. The promises of flexibility and easy profits reveals itself as a gimmick to hide new forms of work exploitment and a lack of fundamental rights for the gig-workers.
